1. Information we collect
Contact and email information. When you take the free Channel Checkup, request a report, join our newsletter, or contact us, we may collect your email address, your name if you provide it, your email preferences, and the contents of your message. We use Beehiiv for newsletter subscriptions and email delivery, which may record whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked.
Information submitted to our tools. When you use a Checkup, calculator, checklist, report, or other tool, we may collect the answers and business information you enter, including details about your channel, revenue, expenses, audience, workload, team, and monetization, to generate your Sellability Score, estimated ranges, results, and recommended next steps. Please do not submit passwords, full payment-card information, government identification numbers, or other information that is not needed to use the tool.
Access and product information. If you buy a product, we may collect your order email, license-key / product-access information, and order status needed to deliver the product or provide support. Access to the paid system is granted by a license key, not a password account.
Purchase information. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record and handles checkout, payments, billing, applicable taxes, refunds, and chargebacks under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. We may receive limited order information, such as your email address, the product purchased, the amount paid, and payment or refund status.
Analytics and technical information. We use Fathom Analytics, which does not use analytics cookies and does not track visitors across unrelated websites. Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the site and may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and security events.
Categories under California law. In the language of the CCPA, the information above falls into these categories: identifiers such as your email address and name; commercial information such as products purchased; internet or network activity such as analytics and security logs; approximate geolocation, meaning a general region derived from your IP address; and inferences and business information you provide, such as the answers you enter into our tools. We collect this directly from you, from your use of the site, and from Cloudflare, which helps deliver and secure the site. We do not collect it from data brokers.
2. How we use information
- Deliver scores, reports, products, and access
- Send requested emails and newsletters
- Process and support purchases
- Respond to questions and support requests
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site
- Understand which pages, tools, and emails are useful
- Prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access
- Maintain required business and transaction records
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms
We do not use your submitted channel information to sell your channel, contact buyers, or act as your broker.
3. Email communications
We may send transactional messages connected to your Checkup, report, purchase, or support request, and, when you have subscribed or where otherwise permitted, newsletters, educational content, and product announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any such message. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages connected to a purchase.
4. Service providers
- Beehiiv for email subscriptions and newsletter delivery
- Lemon Squeezy for checkout, payment, billing, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks
- Fathom for privacy-focused website analytics
- Cloudflare for website delivery, performance, and security
These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and process it under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information to professional advisors or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud, protect security, or defend our rights.
5. Selling and sharing personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-site behavioral advertising or use advertising pixels to track visitors across unrelated websites. If these practices ever change, we will update this policy and provide any legally required notice or choices.
Your choices and browser signals
You can set and change your preference any time on our Your Privacy Choices page, linked in the footer of every page. Because we do not share personal information for advertising today, that control is held in advance: set it now and it applies the moment anything changes.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a privacy extension sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and you do not need to do anything else.
If advertising cookies or pixels are ever introduced, we will update this policy first, and visitors in the EU and UK will be asked to agree before any such cookie or pixel is set.
6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect and the purposes (described in sections 1 and 2), to request a copy, to request correction, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so no opt-out is needed for that practice to stop, because it does not occur. We also honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC). Our Your Privacy Choices page is where you record and change this preference, and it is linked in the footer of every page. To exercise any other right, email [email protected].
Sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes California law permits, so the separate right to limit its use does not apply. Please do not submit sensitive information such as passwords, payment-card numbers, or government identifiers through our tools.
7. EU and UK visitors (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or the UK, our legal bases for processing are: your consent for marketing email; performance of a contract to deliver products and support; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service and preventing fraud. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Our providers (Beehiiv, Lemon Squeezy, Fathom, Cloudflare) may process information in the United States, and where required we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the providers' data-processing agreements.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We keep cookies to a minimum. Fathom Analytics does not use analytics cookies or track visitors across other websites. Our site, Cloudflare, and the checkout provider may use cookies that are necessary for security, login, checkout, and basic site functionality; these are not used by us for behavioral advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent checkout or other features from working properly.
9. Outbound and affiliate links
Some links route through our own /go redirect to outside marketplaces, tools, and service providers, and some are affiliate links. Campaign information already in the page address, such as UTM parameters, may pass to the destination so we can understand which links are useful. Third-party websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only point to services we would use ourselves.
10. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested report or product, maintain your newsletter preferences, provide support, protect the site and prevent abuse, and maintain required transaction, accounting, or legal records. If you unsubscribe, we may retain a limited record of your email address so we continue to honor your request. Lemon Squeezy and other providers may retain certain information under their own obligations.
11. Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information. However, no website, email transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your own credentials secure.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal information we hold, request a copy or correction, request deletion, withdraw consent or object to certain uses, unsubscribe from marketing, or exercise other rights under applicable law. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may need to be retained to complete a transaction, comply with law, prevent fraud, or resolve a dispute. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you; we may ask the agent for proof that you gave permission, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity.
13. International visitors and children
Hungry Passport Media, Inc. is located in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Our site and products are intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Questions, concerns, or privacy requests may be sent to Hungry Passport Media, Inc., 4225 Solano Ave., Suite 631, Napa, CA 94558, USA, or [email protected].
